usd erhält Akkreditierung als P2PE QSA-Unternehmen

Vom PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) hat die usd AG die beiden Zulassungen als QSA (P2PE) und PA-QSA (P2PE) Qualified Security Assessor erhalten. Die Zulassungen wurden für die Region Europa ausgestellt.
Der Point-to-Point Encryption Standard (PCI P2PE) ist der jüngste der PCI Standards und wurde 2012 veröffentlicht. Ziel des Standards ist es, Händlern mit weit verzweigtem Filialnetz den Weg zu einer erfolgreichen PCI DSS Zertifizierung durch den Einsatz einer PCI P2PE-Lösung zu erleichtern. Der Standard stellt dabei sicher, dass Kartendaten vom Eingabepunkt (in der Regel ein POS-Terminal) bis zum Endpunkt (dem Service Provider oder Netzbetreiber) so verschlüsselt werden, dass die Übertragungswege und die dazwischen geschalteten Komponenten auf Seiten des Händlers für PCI keine weitere Rolle spielen.

By the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), the usd has received two approvals QSA (P2PE) and PA-QSA (P2PE) Qualified Security Assessor. The approvals have been issued for the region of Europe.
The Point-to-Point Encryption Standard (PCI P2PE) is the youngest of the PCI standards. It was initially released in 2012 to help merchants with a large network of branches along the way to a successful PCI DSS certification by using a PCI P2PE solution. The standard ensures that cardholder data from the input point (typically a POS terminal) to the end point (the service provider’s or network operator’s processing system) is encrypted in a way that transmission paths and the components used along have no further part in the merchant’s PCI compliance.
