usd Hacking Events: #CTF #EthicalHacking #PentestInsights

21. July 2023

This summer, usd Hackertag took place again in Berlin. Besides chilled mate and snacks, our Pentest Professionals from the usd HeroLab shared a lot of knowledge and hands-on tasks around the profession of pentester with the participants.

The usd Hackertag offered the participants an afternoon to practice their skills in the usd PentestLab. Our experienced Pentest Professionals were always there to support them. Afterwards, the day ended in a relaxed atmosphere with pizza, mate and exciting conversations.

"I am very happy that this year's Hackertag took place in Berlin for the second time and that we were once again able to share our experience with aspiring pentesters," said Philipp Santos de Oliveira, Senior Consultants IT Security. "The cooperation with Ironhack is also very successful and offers the participants the opportunity to directly apply their acquired knowledge in a practical way."

"It's great to see how enthusiastic the participants were about what they were doing. We were particularly pleased that two of the Hackertage participants subsequently took on the challenge of the usd Hacking Night and emerged as one of the winning teams," adds Tim Kranz, Managing Consultant IT Security.

Only two weeks after the usd Hackertag in Berlin, the traditional CTF event usd Hacking Night took place at the CST Academy in Neu-Isenburg as well as online.

For this purpose, usd HeroLab has made the usd PentestLab available to young talents with preconfigured vulnerabilities and different levels of difficulty. The participants competed against each other and took on the challenge.

"The usd Hacking Night is much more than just a competition. Our CST Academy with the adjacent rooftop terrace offers us a great opportunity to bring the community together and exchange ideas on cyber security in addition to learning through play," says Matthias Göhring, Head of usd HeroLab.
